Timothy Hay

1st cut irrigated or dryland Timothy. This Hay has exceptional green colour and great smell with good combination of stem and leaf producing highly palatable Hay consisting of medium protein and high in digestible fibre. Suitable as high quality source of fibre for most rabbits, guinea pigs, goats etc . Dryland Timothy is grown using natural rainfall and is cut once per season and irrigated Timothy is grown generally in dryer, hotter areas using artificial watering, irrigation from inland lakes or rivers and is cut twice per season.
The hay come into the UK in huge bales that are cut down in size using a very large saw. Because of the system used- the tail end of the hay in you box/bag can be dusty- we have packed extra into your bag/box to allow for this- so please give your hay a shake and discard the bits.

Our hay is an untreated product that varies with weather conditions. Varying shades of green, yellow stalks or a paler colour are not signs of inferior quality. Good hay can be distinguished by smell and consistency.
